Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester is honored to be selected as 1 of 38 recipients of the Esler Family Foundation Inspiring Generosity Match Fund, a partnership with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation!
In Worcester County, nearly 1 in 6 adults struggles with basic literacy, limiting access to jobs and economic mobility. Your support helps LVGW provide free English classes, one-to-one/small group English tutoring, and workforce readiness programs for adult learners working to build better futures.
We have a powerful opportunity ahead: all new and increased donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

We’re proud to partner with Root and Press, bookstore and cafe located at 156 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, for the month of February and March! By rounding up food, beverage, and book purchases in-store or online at Root and Press, you will support our mission of empowering adults through culturally compassionate English language education—building confidence, opportunity, and community across Greater Worcester.

Come celebrate the end of the year with students, volunteers, board members, and community partners over a variety of shared dishes.
If you plan to attend, please fill out this brief form to help us prepare. Bringing a dish to share is encouraged, but if you are unable to, we’d love to have you either way!

Here’s how it works:

✅ Enjoy delicious wood-fired flatbreads
