Fall Registration Opens on Monday, August 17!

August 13, 2015 by Literacy Volunteers

We are happy to announce that our fall registration will open on Monday, August 17. Students can register for up to three classes, but they should only register for classes they are certain they will be able to attend. Space is extremely limited. Beginners can register at our main office in the Worcester Public Library, intermediate students can register at our satellite branch at 90 Madison Place. The class listing is available is here.

We are in the middle of putting together our COOKBOOK FUNDRAISER! Please help us out by submitting a recipe from your country of origin/ancestry. You can stop by our offices to pick up a blank template to use. Forms can either returned to our offices or emailed to Anita Maurier at anitam177@verizon.net. We look forward to a wonderful collection of recipes from around the world!

As a reminder, please take advantage of our portable Rosetta Stone language laboratory – available at our Madison Street branch. Practice English on your own time. Open on Saturday mornings as well!

And finally, a request for help. As the fall semester gets underway, we are looking for volunteers to help out with front desk coverage and light office work, including student registrations, mailings, and data entry. If you, or anyone you know, would like to volunteer some time, we are looking for coverage specifically for our office hours. Please contact Melissa at mcohen@lvgw.org if you would like more information.
